Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a crash that sent one person to hospital during Wednesday morning’s commute.
Peel EMS told CP24 a 15-year-old boy was unconscious when he was rushed to hospital after the two-vehicle collision.
The crash between a car and a tractor-trailer occurred in Highway 401’s express lanes at Dixie Road at about 7:30 a.m., closing three of the lanes until 9 a.m.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
This was the second serious crash to occur on Highway 401 in an eight-hour span.
Late Tuesday night, a truck driver was critically injured when three tractor-trailers were involved in a crash in the eastbound lanes in Ajax.
