NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. - The deaths of a former Niagara Falls, Ont., woman and her son in a Florida fire are being treated as homicides.

The bodies of 43-year Carol Wisdom and her eight-year-old son Michael were found in their charred home in North Port, Fla., last week.

Police say an accelerant was used in the garage attached to Wisdom's bungalow.

It isn't clear yet if the mother and son were killed by the fire or were already dead when it was set.

Police say they don't have any suspects in the case.

Carol's estranged husband, Michael Wisdom, has been questioned and released.

Neighbours tell a local paper he hadn't lived in the home for about six months.
