A Toronto police officer testified Friday that when he saw the body of Jane Creba lying on the roadway, he thought the 15 year-old was dead.

Constable Brian Callahan was working security at the Sam the Record Man on Boxing Day 2005. He says heard two separate volleys of shots about three seconds apart.

He then radioed in that shots had been heard fired, and left the store to cross Yonge Street to the shooting scene.

Yesterday, a police officer testified that Creba and other shooting victims were surrounded by young people trying to take photos with their cell phones.

The 15-year-old was killed when she was caught in the crossfire of a gun battle in downtown Toronto that left six others wounded on Boxing Day.

J.S.R. -- a 20-year-old man -- has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, six counts of attempted murder and other gun charges.

He is the first of nine people to go to trial in the case.
