TORONTO - One man is dead and another is presumed drowned in two separate boating accidents in Ontario's Muskoka cottage country this weekend.

Ontario Provincial Police are searching for a man who went missing in the water after a canoe overturned in Arrowhead Provincial Park, north of Huntsville, Ont.

Two men went in the canoe without life-jackets around midnight Saturday, but only one made it to shore. Police believe alcohol was involved.

A 33-year-old man who was in critical condition after being thrown from a speeding boat in Muskoka Lake Saturday evening died in hospital just after midnight.

After another deadly weekend on Ontario's waterways, police are urging vacationers to slow down and make more conscious decisions.

Ontario provincial police Const. Skeeter Kruger says that in his 35 years living in Muskoka, he doesn't remember a more deadly week than the one that just passed, in which a dozen people died in the Muskoka cottage country region.
