One person is dead following a crash near Barrie Friday afternoon, Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed.
Police said the collision happened on Highway 90 near George Johnston Road shortly after 5 p.m.
According to police, the driver of one vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene.
The driver was located, and arrested, a short time later in Essa Township.
Highway 90 is expected to remain closed until after midnight as police continue their investigation.
