TORONTO - Toronto police say a Brampton, Ont., man faces charges after a ticket enforcement officer was hit by a vehicle door and pushed.

Police say a man returned to a vehicle and sat in the driver's seat as the officer wrote a parking ticket Tuesday afternoon.

It's alleged that as the officer was placing the ticket on the windshield, the vehicle door swung open and hit her.

Police say as the officer walked away, a man took the ticket from the windshield and pushed her.

Francis Tonna, 55, has been charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer.

He is due in court Feb. 8.
