Youth shot in Scarborough

UPDATED: A male youth has been shot in Scarborough.

According to initial reports, the teenager was shot in the arm and leg on Brenyon Way in the Sheppard Avenue East and Morningside Avenue area.

Police said the victim is in stable condition.

No suspect information has been released.

Motorcycle accident claims one life

One person is dead following a motorcycle accident on a Bowmanville track.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. at Mosport International Raceway near Mosport Road and Boundary Road.

Still no word on the age or sex of the victim.

Elderly woman struck by car

A woman in her 80s has been struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke.

Police said the woman suffered injuries to her jaw was struck in the Dixon Road and Islington Avenue area.

Emergency services are en route to the scene.

10-year-old pulled from Scarborough pool

A 10-year-old has been pulled from the bottom of a pool in Scarborough.

According to emergency services, the child was pulled from the public pool on Midland Avenue by an on-duty lifeguard.

The child, who is reported to be conscious and breathing, has been transported to the Hospital for Sick Children.

Caledon house fire under control

Emergency crews spent several hours battling a significant fire that fully engulfed a Caledon residence Wednesday.

The fire began at a home on Hunsden Side Road at around 10:30 a.m. and was declared under control around 12 p.m.

Nobody was injured as a result of the fire.

Hunsden Side Road was closed between Mount Wolf and Mount Pleasant Road for several hours.
