Woman taken to hospital following Highway 400 crash

A woman has been transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle collision Wednesday evening.

According to police, the woman struck a guardrail in the express lane of northbound Highway 400 near Langstaff Road.

Three lanes of the highway are currently closed as police investigate the incident.

Arrests made in rash of vehicle break-ins

Toronto police have made two arrests in connection with a 13 different vehicle break-ins.

The arrests were made on Saturday night after a city resident reported his vehicle was being broken into near Leslie and Sheppard Avenue.

Barry Chevrier, 25, of Toronto, and a 17-year-old, of no fixed address, face 45 charges.

Pedestrian hit by cement truck

A 30-year-old man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was sturck by a cement truck near King Road and Bathurst Street.

The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m.

King Road is closed from Bathurst to Dufferin as police investigate.

Man charged with two sexual assaults

A man accused of sexually assaulting two women in separate incidents Friday evening has been arrested and charged.

A suspect approached a 31-year-old woman shopping in the Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East area at about 6 p.m. Friday.

According to police he then sexually assaulted the woman, before fleeing.

A short time later he was travelling on a TTC bus in the Finch Avenue East and Don Mills Road area.

Police say he sat beside a 20-year-old woman, who he also sexually assaulted.

Ritchie Lan Hing Fung, 37, was arrested Tuesday evening and is charged with two counts of sexual assault. He appeared in court this morning.

Car flips after hitting school bus

A driver escaped injury when his or her vehicle hit a school bus and flipped Wednesday morning.

Police said no injuries were reported in the two-vehicle crash in a residential neighbourhood at Long Branch Avenue and Park Boulevard.

A Jeep rolled onto its side after the collision.

No children were aboard the bus.
