Pedestrian struck in west end

Initial reports say that a pedestrian has suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the city's west end.

According to the report, the pedestrian was stuck in the Weston Road and Finch Avenue West area at around 8 p.m.

Collision sends four people to hospital

The intersection of Cawthra Road and the Queensway has reopened following a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning.

Four people were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the crash, which involved four vehicles.

Emergency personnel were notified of the collision at about 7 a.m.

Highway 401 crash injures one

At least one person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a fiery crash on Highway 401 early Thursday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police said two vehicles collided in the highway's eastbound express lanes at Markham Road shortly before 3 a.m.

One of the vehicles caught fire after the collision, but the blaze was quickly extinguished.
