A 49-year-old man is dead and police are asking the public for help in solving the crime.

Toronto police say Allan Lanteigne's body was found at his Ossington Avenue home Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to the home just before 3:30 p.m. and found the man with obvious signs of trauma to his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say that all they know for certain is that Lanteigne left work at 5 p.m. Wednesday and arrived home shortly after 5:30 p.m.

They are hoping the public will help shed some light on what happened to Lanteigne in the subsequent hours.
