WOODSTOCK, Ont. - The remains of Victoria Stafford have been returned to her family in Woodstock, Ont., who are planning a private funeral.
Oxford community police Chief Rod Freeman says the remains were returned this week from the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto.
A police officer located the remains in a wooded area in southwestern Ontario on July 19.
The eight-year-old girl disappeared after leaving school April 8.
Freeman says police are still combing the area where Tori's remains were found.
Michael Rafferty, 28, and Terri-Lynne McClintic, 19, are charged with the kidnapping and murder of the little girl.
