A previously confidential report has revealed how drivers can get out of parking tickets.

The Toronto Star reported Tuesday that if you're old, have a medical condition or if you're religious – there's a good chance of getting out of a parking ticket.

Drivers can get their tickets cancelled if they live over 100 kilometres from Toronto, if they were at church, if they were confused on which side of the street to park or if they received several tickets for the same offence within three hours.

Councillors on city business can have their tickets cleared for practically any infraction. Delivery trucks, nursing agencies, tour buses, cabs and disabled drivers also have exemptions.

Councillors Howard Moscoe and Denzil Minnan-Wong have been trying to get the report released for several months.
