TORONTO - Canadian comedian Russell Peters will jest at the Just for Laughs Festival in Toronto.
Organizers say the standup star from Brampton, Ont., has signed on to host two galas at Massey Hall on July 9.
Comedians on the bill include Noel Fielding of England and Americans Elon Gold, Tom Papa, Lavell Crawford and Jim Breuer.
Peters has been touring the world in recent years, selling out major venues including Madison Square Garden and the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
This fall, Doubleday Canada plans to release his new memoir, "Call Me Russell."
Peters also recently filmed a part in the science-fiction film "Source Code," directed by David Bowie's son, Duncan Jones.
Jake Gyllenhaal and Vera Farmiga are among the stars in the film that's set for release next year.
