TORONTO - Ben Heenan remains the top prospect for the 2012 CFL Canadian College Draft.
The CFL's scouting bureau had the Saskatchewan Huskies offensive lineman atop its top-15 prospects list Tuesday. The six-foot-four, 310-pound native of Grand Coulee, Sask., was ranked No. 1 on the initial list Sept. 19.
Heenan was named an all-Canadian for the second straight year despite making the switch from guard to tackle this season. He is scheduled to cap his season Saturday in the East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Boise State defensive end Tyrone Crawford moved into the No. 2 spot after not being included on the first list because he hadn't yet been declared eligible for the draft.
Four other players made the list for the first time, including Wofford defensive end Ameet Pall (No. 7), McMaster offensive lineman Jason Medeiros (No. 10), Laval defensive end Arnaud Gascon-Nadon (No. 13) and Queen's receiver Johnny Aprile (No. 14).
The CFL scouting bureau consists of CFL scouts, player personnel directors and general managers from the league's eight teams.
