Stephen Hunt

Since joining CTV in July 2019, Stephen Hunt has worked as a digital producer, covering everything from city politics to mean coaches to the energy industry and beyond. Based in Calgary, Stephen has also reported from Los Angeles, New York, Japan, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Beijing and New Orleans. As part of the Calgary Herald newsroom, Stephen won a group National Newspaper Award in 2014 for Postmedia’s coverage of the 2013 Calgary flood. His work has appeared in various Postmedia newspapers, the Los Angeles Times, Globe & Mail, Saturday Night Magazine, Yahoo, The Stage and elsewhere. He taught journalism at Mount Royal University in Calgary and has been an adjunct professor at the creative writing department of the University of British Columbia since 2007, teaching playwriting in the optional residency online class.
