Toronto police are looking for witnesses after an early morning fatal crash downtown.

The collision happened just before 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning at King and Parliament Streets.

The 37-year-old driver of a Lincoln vehicle was travelling eastbound on King Street East, approaching the intersection of Parliament Street, when he lost control and struck a taxi, which was stopped on the curb lane. 

The male driver of the Lincoln suffered life-threatening injuries, and was later pronounced dead in hospital.

The other driver -- a 35-year-old man -- suffered minor injuries to his back and neck. He was taken to hospital.

The identities of men have not been released.
