A teacher at Joseph Howe Senior Public School in the Toronto District School Board has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation, police say.
The woman – arrested Monday - is alleged to have engaged in an inappropriate relationship since June of 2009 with a former student.
Mary Gowans, 40, was arrested Monday evening.
