Toyota Canada has issued a voluntary recall for nearly 29,000 vehicles in Canada.

Affected models include the 2005-2006 Toyota Avalon, 2004-2006 Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX 330, and the 2006 Lexus GS300, IS 250 and IS350.

The recall is to fix a "possibility" that a small amount of brake fluid could slowly leak from the brake master cylinder.

Low fluid level could cause the brake warning lamp to light up, and could eventually lead to declining braking performance.

Anyone who owns a vehicle affected by the recall will be contacted by Toyota in mid-November, the automaker says.
