A two-alarm fire in Chinatown claimed the life of an elderly woman Saturday night.
The blaze broke out at a residence on Huron Street shortly after 11 p.m.
The woman, who has not been identified, was trapped in a main floor kitchen as a result.
She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Emergency crews were able to have the fire under control by midnight, but returned to 3 a.m. when the blaze broke out again.
