Durham police are investigating after two bodies were found in the trunk of a vehicle near Sunderland Saturday morning.
Police discovered the bodies shortly after 11 a.m. in a vehicle that was parked in a farmers field east of Ridge Road.
Detectives with both the homicide unit and forensic investigations unit have been called in to assist in the investigation.
The bodies have not yet been identified.
