LONGUEUIL, Que. - Canadian astronaut Julie Payette and her six American space shuttle crew mates will have to hold tight for a few more days.

NASA announced today that the launch of Endeavour has been re-scheduled for Wednesday.

The launch was cancelled Saturday due to a gaseous hydrogen leak found near the external fuel tank.

A similar problem developed last March during the first attempt to launch the shuttle Discovery.

Hydrogen gas is extremely volatile and can burn in large enough quantities.

Engineer Leroy Cain said that repairs on Endeavour are coming along and the U.S. space agency has found no further problems with the shuttle.
