CP24.com readers were asked to share their Remembrance Day stories with us, whether they participated in the war or grew up with a loved one in service. These are their memories and the photos that have defined their experience.

Memories

I just wanted to share something I wrote to honor those lost in war...

Lest we never forget,

Children they never met,

So many lives lost,

Such a terrible cost,

Face down in the mud,

Freedom paid in blood,

The cost too many lives,

Too many widowed wives,

Respect the men who died,

The families that cried,

Too many sorrowful tears,

A letter confirms their fears,

So wear the flower with pride,

For those that the ground hide...
