Friends of murdered bar patron Bailey Zaveda lit candles outside the Duke of York Tavern in her memory on Saturday, while family in her hometown of Brockville said their last goodbyes at her funeral.
An innocent bystander to a bar fight, Zaveda was shot to death one week ago. She was hit several times in the chest and died on the steps of the Leslieville bar, moments after walking outside to have a cigarette.
Two men had gotten into a fight on the street when one pulled a gun, hitting six people including Zaveda.
Kyle Weese, 24, is charged with second-degree murder and four counts of attempted murder.
