Canada has slipped one place to No. 13 in the world rugby ranking while Tonga, on the strength of its upset win over France at the World Cup, jumped four spots to No. 9.

The Canadian men entered the tournament at No. 14 but rose three places to No. 11 after their opening win over the Tongans. Canada fell to No. 12 after its loss to France and slipped again in the wake of a 79-15 loss to the All Blacks.

The French dropped three places to No. 8 in the wake of their 19-14 loss to Tonga.

Ireland, Wales and Argentina moved up one spot to No. 5, 6 and 7, respectively.

The top four remained the same: New Zealand followed by South Africa, Australia and England.

Scotland, Samoa and Italy each fell one place to No. 10, 11 and 12 respectively.
