BURLINGTON, Ont. -- A former Toronto-area figure skating coach has been charged in a child sex abuse investigation.
Halton police Sgt. Dave Cross says a man sexually assaulted three girls while teaching them to skate in Burlington, west of Toronto, between 2007 and 2011.
The girls' ages are not being released.
Forty-eight-year-old Michael Richards, of Burlington, faces two counts each of sexual assault and assault, as well as one charge of sexual exploitation.
Cross says Richards was arrested Wednesday night and is due in court Dec. 5.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them.
