Protesters held a rally and march today to protest Ontario's Accepting Schools Act.
Cultural and religious groups gathered at Yonge-Dundas Square at noon for a peaceful demonstration against Bill 13.
The anti-bullying legislation calls for the allowance of gay-straight alliances in all schools, even in the Catholic school board.
The group planned to remain silent during the protest.
After the demonstration, the group marched to Queen's Park at 1 p.m.
On Tuesday, the Ontario government and Premier Dalton McGuinty refused to back down in a fight with Catholic educators over the use of the term gay-straight alliance, but rejected suggestions its aim was to end the separate school system.
