A 40-year-old Belleville woman is facing charges in connection with a number of break-ins at seniors’ apartments across the region, Durham police announced Monday.

In July, police released a security camera image of a woman who allegedly entered a seniors’ apartment building on Perry Street in Whitby and stole cash from the rooms of residents.

A total of seven apartments were entered, police said at the time.

In a subsequent release issued a month later, police said the same suspect was believed to be connected to up to six additional incidents in Whitby, Ajax and Oshawa.

An arrest was made Friday in connection with the case.

“The investigation is ongoing and police want to ensure there are no other victims,” a release from police Monday morning said.

Angela Tracey-Hannah is charged with three counts of break and entering.
