Several homes in the Briar Hill neighbourhood were evacuated due to a gas leak Tuesday night.
According to police, the leak occurred after a vehicle struck a gas meter on a home on Danesbury Avenue, near Ridelle Avenue.
Approximately nine houses were evacuated as crew worked to cap the leak. Toronto Transit Commission buses were also requested to shelter displaced residents.
The leak was capped at around 9:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
