BURLINGTON, Ont. -- A home in Burlington, Ont., is heavily damaged after a car plowed into it Wednesday night.

Halton Region police say a Ford Taurus left the road (Mount Forest Dr.) at about 10 p.m. and travelled across two front lawns before striking the house.

The entire front of the vehicle entered the home and police say it was a miracle neither of the two men in the car, nor people in the house, were injured.

Police say it appears the home`s main support beams were "significantly compromised" and the car will not be removed until a thorough inspection is conducted today.

A 19-year-old Burlington man has been charged with careless driving and being a novice driver with a blood alcohol reading higher than zero.

Mitchell Bolduc is scheduled to appear in court in Burlington on December 18th.
