PETERBOROUGH, Ont. -- A 23-year-old Toronto man is facing drug charges after going to a Peterborough, Ont., police station to report being injured in a fight.

Police say an injured man arrived at the Peterborough police station on Tuesday afternoon saying he'd been involved in an altercation.

They say he was taken to hospital for treatment, but investigating officers allegedly found he was in possession of a quantity of drugs.

The man -- whose name was not released as he's also an alleged victim -- is charged with possession of MDMA, marijuana and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Police say he was released into their custody following treatment of his injuries and was to appear in court on Wednesday.
