Toronto firefighters are at the scene of a fire inside a warehouse in a commercial plaza that started sometime early Sunday morning, emergency crews say.

Toronto Fire Capt. Michael Westwood said they were called to 65 Carrier Drive, near the intersection of Highway 27 and Finch Avenue West, sometime around 4:30 a.m.

He said flames were found inside a warehouse that is part of a larger commercial development. Firefighters opened all available hatches and doors for ventilation.

It is believed the location is used to roast coffee.

The fire was brought under control by 5:29 a.m., Westwood said.

Nobody was found inside the building, and Toronto Paramedics say they did not treat or transport anyone from the scene.

Fire crews will remain at the scene for some time to prevent re-ignition.

Westwood said the fire is not considered suspicious and the Ontario Fire Marshal will not be contacted.
