About 320 school bus drivers in the GTA could walk off the job at midnight if a deal is not reached between Unifor Local 4268 and First Student Markham.
A potential strike would affect about 8,500 students in the Toronto District School Board, about 6,000 students in the York Region District School Board and about 3,500 students in the Toronto Catholic District School Board.
All told, union officials say that more than 200 bus routes would be impacted.
