A lockdown at Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa has been lifted following reports of an armed person on campus.
Police were first alerted to the presence of the possible armed person after receiving a call at around 12:45 p.m.
In a message posted to Twitter, Durham College told students and staff to "proceed to the nearest classroom, office or secure area immediately."
The lockdown was lifted shortly after 3 p.m.
No injuries have been reported.
