Toronto police have charged a 26-year-old man in connection with a double stabbing that left one man dead in the city’s downtown core last year.

Police were called to a building in the Sherbourne and Earl streets area where they found two men suffering from stab wounds shortly before 3 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2012.

The victims were rushed to hospital, where 23-year-old Glenton Gibson later succumbed to his injuries.

In a police release issued in December, investigators said they were looking for three suspects in connection with the incident.

On Jan. 11, police announced that a then 19-year-old suspect had been arrested in connection with the investigation and charged with a number of offences, including second-degree murder.

On Monday, an additional suspect was arrested in the College and Yonge streets area.

Juselelio Silva, of Toronto, is charged with manslaughter.

He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.
