A male succumbed to his injuries in hospital after he was pulled from the waters of Lake Ontario in the city’s west end on Sunday morning.

According to police, the man was found about 10 metres from the shore near Jameson Avenue at around 9 a.m. He was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition but was pronounced dead a short time later.

It is not immediately clear how the man ended up in the water, but police say they have ruled out foul play.
