Toronto police are looking to identify a man following a sexual assault that occurred near the Art Gallery of Ontario earlier this week.

It happened in the Beverly Street and Grange Avenue area Monday night at around 10:30 p.m.

According to police, a woman was walking in the area when she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed and dragged her into a nearby alleyway where she was sexually assaulted.

The man fled westbound after the victim screamed and fought back.

He is described as brown, approximately 20 years old, five-foot-five, and roughly 155 pounds. He was wearing a dark plaid shirt and blue jeans at the time of the attack, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
