Amid allegations of animal neglect and poor care, Marineland has been given a stamp of approval by the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Marineland was given a passing grade after CAZA conducted an inspection of the facility in Niagara Falls, the organization said.

CAZA said the inspection was conducted during a surprise visit.

In its report, CAZA said it found no problems, other than to suggest the facility update its water testing protocol.

Currently, the water is tested twice a day.

Inspectors said they believe staffing levels at Marineland are appropriate, and they have no concerns about the health of the animals.

CAZA is funded by dues paid by its accredited members, including Marineland.
