TTC riders will now be able to purchase day passes using their mobile phones.
The TTC has launched a new free app called TTCconnect that allows users to purchase day passes with just a swipe of their phone.
"The TTC is pleased to offer our Pan Am guests and TTC customers the option of purchasing day or group passes on their iOS and Android devices," TTC Chair Josh Colle said in a press release. "The TTCconnect app is just one of the many technological modernization initiatives the TTC is undertaking to improve service and convenience for its riders.”
According to the TTC, users will be able to purchase day passes at any time using the app.
The passes can then be activated by tapping the screen, which will change the colour of the electronic pass.
