Nuit Blanche and the CIBC Run for the Cure will require many major routes in downtown Toronto to be closed for much of the weekend.

To allow art enthusiasts to peruse displays set up for Nuit Blanche many downtown streets will be closed from Saturday at 4 p.m. to sunrise on Sunday:

- Queen Street West: the entire roadway from Yonge Street to University Avenue

- College Street: Eastbound curb only, from University Avenue to Elizabeth Street

- Queen's Park - Bloor Street West to the northern separation of Queen's Park Crescent East and West

- Queen's Park Crescent east and west and will be closed between Queen's Park and College Street

- Bloor Street West: the eastbound curb lane closure 80m west of St. George Street to Queen's Park

- Queens Quay partial and full closures, from York Street to Parliament Street (includes multiple access plans for Redpath Sugar, George Brown and TTC).

- Bay Street will have sporadic closures from Dundas Street West to Queens Quay. Most east and west intersections will remain open to through traffic.

On Sunday morning, thousands of runners will participate in the annual CIBC Run for the Cure.

Beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Wellesley Street West will be closed between Queen’s Park Crescent East and Queen’s Park Crescent West. On Sunday morning at 7 a.m., Hoskin Avenue between Queen’s Park Crescent West and St. George Street will be closed.

The running course is below. All these routes will be closed from 9 a.m. Sunday until roughly noon:

Five kilometre route:

- Start line - Hart House Circle at Wellesley Street West (Formation Area)
- Eastbound - Wellesley Street West, to Queen's Park Crescent East (full road)
- Southbound - Queens Park Crescent East, via University Avenue, to Armoury Street (full road)
- Turnaround - At Armoury Street onto northbound University Avenue (full road)
- Northbound - University Avenue, via Queen's Park Crescent W, to Bloor Street West (full road)
- Westbound - Bloor Street West, to St. George Street (full road)
- Southbound - St. George Street, to College Street (full road)
- Eastbound - College Street, to King’s College Road (full road)
- Northbound - King’s College Road, to finish line at King’s College Circle (full road)
- Finish line - King’s College Circle (Dispersal Area)

One kilometre route:

- Start line - Hart House Circle, through Soldier’s Tower, to Tower Road
- Northbound - Tower Road, to Hoskin Avenue (full road)
- Westbound - Hoskin Avenue, to St. George Street (full road)
- Southbound - St. George Street, to College Street (full road)
- Eastbound - College Street, to King’s College Road (full road)
- Northbound - King’s College Road, to finish line at King’s College Circle (full road)
- Finish line - King’s College Circle (Dispersal Area)

Police say the run will go ahead rain or shine.
