One man is dead following a collision in Mount Hope on Monday night, Hamilton police confirm.
It happened in the area of Upper James Street and Airport Road East at around midnight.
The driver of a 2002 Volkswagen Beetle was travelling southbound on Upper James Street near Homestead Drive when the vehicle collided with a northbound Ford F150 truck.
The male driver of the Beetle was pronounced dead at the scene and the other driver was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not released the age or name of the victim, who is from Welland. Police are in the process of notifying next-of-kin.
