One of two pedestrians struck by a vehicle in East Gwillimbury on Friday night has died, police say.
The victim, described as a man in his 20s, was confirmed dead on Saturday morning.
Police say that the man and a woman, who was also in her 20s, were in the middle of Highway 11 near Green Lane when they were both struck just before 9 p.m. on Friday.
The woman remains in hospital with serious injuries following the incident.
Police say they do not plan to file charges against the driver.
Highway 11 was closed between Holland Landing Road and Bathurst Street but has since reopened.
