Organizers of the Bud Light Digital Dreams electronic music festival have cancelled all performances this Saturday, due to concerns over heavy rain.

The festival, which was to attract as many as 40,000 attendees to the Ontario Place grounds this Saturday and Sunday, will now only proceed this Sunday “in the interest of public safety and to protect fans, artists, and staff.”

Organizers said in a note on Facebook that the festival would resume on Sunday at 2 p.m. They said Saturday ticket holders will be fully refunded, while two-day ticket holders would receive a 50 per cent refund.

The festival is expected to include performances from artists including Armin Van Buuren, Pete Tong and Zedd.
