Police were called to a home in the city’s west end on Friday morning after a resident reported that a coyote had tried to attack their dog.
According to Const. Jen Sidhu, police were contacted at around 9:30 a.m. after the coyote was spotted in the backyard of the home near Maple Leaf Drive and Katie Court in the Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue area.
Sidhu says that the homeowner described the coyote as about the size of their husky.
Police are on scene now. Animal Services has also been dispatched to the neighbourhood.
