Police have identified the man fatally struck in a hit-and-run in Vaughan late Monday night.

Adam Colucci, 35, of Woodbridge, was struck in front of the Pinecrest Motel on Highway 7, east of Creditstone Road, at around 11:25 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

In an update provided Tuesday night, York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden confirmed that Colucci had been staying at the motel as a guest.

“We’d like to speak with anybody that might have had any contact with Adam within the last three days, that can provide us with any information on why he might have been at this hotel, what his state of mind might have been, or anything leading up to this incident that took place,” Pattenden said.

No suspect or vehicle information has yet been provided by investigators.

Although there is video surveillance from nearby businesses, police said it hasn’t been helpful thus far.

“We do believe that there were people in this area that may have seen what happened,” Pattenden said.

He urged the person responsible to step forward.

“It’s time to get a lawyer and contact us right away,” he said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 866-876-5423 ext. 7704 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
