Police have released a surveillance camera image of a suspect wanted in connection with a rash of break-and-enters in several midtown Toronto neighbourhoods, including Rosedale.

Police first issued a public safety alert about the break-ins on June 15.

At the time, police said that a suspect gained entry to “multiple residential homes” through unlocked back doors during the nighttime hours and then proceeded to steal property from inside.

The robberies were said to have taken place throughout 53 Division, which spans from Spadina Road in the west to the Don River in the east and Bloor Street in the south to Lawrence Avenue in the north.

To date no suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the robberies and on Wednesday police issued a news release to inform residents that there have been three additional break-and-enters at unlocked homes since the alert was first issued.

The latest break-ins have occurred during the overnight hours at addresses in Rosedale and midtown Toronto, police say.

The suspect is described as 20 to 30 years old with a thin build. He was seen wearing a grey hoodie that obscured his face, a baseball cap, white shoes and dark pants in the surveillance camera footage. He was also carrying a black backpack.
