Toronto police are warning the public after a five-year-old boy reported that a man tried to get him to leave a TTC bus with him Friday afternoon.

The incident took place aboard a bus outside Islington Station at around 3 p.m.

Police say the man had a short conversation with the child and asked him to leave the bus with him.

The man is described as being around 70 years old, standing five-foot-ten and weighing 170 pounds. He is clean-cut with short, dark grey hair combed to the right, blue eyes and bushy black eyebrows. He has a long, thin, very wrinkled face and forehead and may have been missing several upper and lower teeth.

He was wearing a navy blue, three-quarter-length wool jacket, dark pants and grey, Velcro-fastened shoes.
