Peel police busted up an out of control house party in Brampton Friday night after more than 1,000 teenagers showed up.

The party took place at a large home on Stanley Carberry Drive near Mayfield Road and Goreway Drive, quickly spinning out of control as word spread on social media.

According to Peel police, officers did attend the address earlier in the day to warn the mother after seeing a slew of messages on Twitter promoting the party, but the warning was not heeded.

Peel police then returned to the home later in the night after receiving several 911 calls.

Several arrests were made for minor infractions, such as underage drinking and vandalism.

Police also told The Canadian Press that $70,000 in damage was caused to the home.

No injuries were reported.
