Power has been completely restored to customers in Toronto’s west end following a massive outage Tuesday night.

Hydro One representative Daffyd Roderick told CP24 all impacted customers had power restored shortly before 11 p.m.

Initial reports of the outage began to surface shortly after 8 p.m.

“We’re currently experiencing an outage in the west end and are investigating the cause,” Toronto Hydro said in a tweet sent at around 9:45 p.m.

The outage impacted customers in an area bounded by Yonge Street to the east, Mississauga to the west, Lawrence Avenue to the north, and Dupont Street to the south.

Initially, some 12,000 customers were without power, Roderick said.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the outage. The cause of the outage is still under investigation.

Subway service was temporarily suspended between Jane and St. George stations due to signal problems.

Full subway service has since resumed, with shuttle buses currently operating to help clear delays.
