Investigators have released surveillance video footage of a robbery suspect who was seen smashing the glass door of an Oshawa convenience store before making off with a handful of lottery tickets early Wednesday morning.

Durham Regional Police say that at about 4:40 a.m. on Wednesday, a man broke through the door of a convenience store at Ritson Road South and Dean Avenue in Oshawa by using a golf club.

The suspect is seen vaulting over the store’s counter and grabbing a number of lottery tickets before jumping back over the counter and falling onto the floor.

He then picked up items off of the floor and fled the scene.

He is described as a white male in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a blue winter coat, dark pants, tan running shoes and a white toque.

A dark-coloured Adidas duffle bag was slung over his shoulder.
