Toronto police are searching for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted near Humber College on Wednesday night.

Police say a female was walking on a foot path along Highway 27 near Humber College Boulevard at around 9:30 p.m. when a man approached her from behind.

According to investigators, the female was knocked to the ground and sexually assaulted by the suspect.

The man was seen fleeing the scene southbound on the foot path.

The suspect has been described as a black or brown male who is between five-foot-six and five-foot-seven and reportedly has an average build and straight hair that is unkempt at the collar. The victim told police that the man had strong body odour and smelled of sweat. He was seen wearing a beige or cream coloured t-shirt, dark, long pants and he may have been wearing sandals, police say.
